OUR STORY
In 2003, two sleep-deprived mothers in rural New Zealand were inspired to innovate in the baby sleepwear industry. Frustrated by the lack of sustainable, natural fibre sleepwear and bedding for their newborns, they created Merino Kids by launching the revolutionary Go Go Bag—the world’s first baby sleeping bag made entirely from 100% natural fibres.
With its innovative combination of a luxurious superfine merino lining and beautiful organic cotton outer, this award-winning product is designed to provide unparalleled comfort, warmth, and uninterrupted sleep for babies, inspiring others with its unique design.
Following the global success of the Go Go Bag, we expanded our collection to include cosy, natural sleepwear for toddlers. In 2023, Merino Kids joined the Jamie Kay Group, a leading New Zealand brand renowned for its premium children’s wear. This collaboration reflects our ongoing commitment to offering top-quality, natural products for your little ones, combining exceptional design with innovation.
Together, we create beautifully crafted clothing from premium, super-soft materials perfect for creating treasured memories and celebrating every special moment in a child’s life. Each piece is designed in our custom-built studio in New Zealand and shipped to loving homes worldwide from our warehouse in Christchurch.
