Material Spotlight
Leather

Leather is a natural material made from the tanned hide of cows. Cowhide leather retains the natural grain and fibre structure of the hide, giving it its characteristic strength and thickness.

  • Flexible Cowhide leather naturally softens and adapts with wear, offering comfortable movement while maintaining its beautiful structure
  • Strong Its dense natural fibre structure gives cowhide impressive strength, making each piece reliably sturdy
  • Durable Known for its long life, cowhide ages gracefully and can last for decades thanks to its robust, naturally resilient fibres
  • Breathable Unlike PU materials, genuine leather allows air to pass through, helping feet stay more comfortable during wear
  • Perfect for special occasions With its refined texture and timeless feel, leather adds a premium touch to outfits made for memorable moments
    • Leather gives slightly with wear, which makes it very comfortable and adaptable to each wearer
    • Our leather has a very smooth finish, soft to the touch
    • Jamie Kay leather shoes generally have a leather lining too, so that the shoes will last a long time

Suitable for Sensitive Skin. Our leather shoes feature a smooth leather lining that’s soft against the foot, while socks provide a natural barrier so the leather doesn’t sit directly on delicate skin. Genuine leather is also more breathable than PU alternatives, helping maintain a comfortable environment for little feet throughout the day.

    • Our leather supplier holds an active Leather Working Group (LWG) Certificate
    • This is a widely recognised standard that assesses and certifies leather manufacturers, traders, commissioning brands, and subcontractors based on their environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance
    • This certification signals to brands and consumers that leather has been produced responsibly, with reduced environmental impact and improved transparency throughout the supply chain

Leather can be maintained by simply wiping the material clean, and you can also use standard leather maintenance products provided you follow instructions carefully.

Our leather is sourced and manufactured into finished products in Indonesia.
