Celebrating 97 Years of Love: A Tribute to Mémé

We celebrated the 97 years of my amazing Mémé’s life today. Loved having my baby's match. Loved it even more that my daughter’s cardigan coordinated with the flowers. Purple was her favourite colour 
My Mémé was such an extraordinary lady! But she lived until 97, which is quite the life. She was French (born in Algeria) and moved to the US at 20 years old, when she met my grandfather overseas during World War 2. We lived right next door growing up - she taught me French, how to cook, and how to love. I am most thankful (and I think she was too) that she got to know and love on my two babies, which is something my mom never had the chance to do (I lost her 13 years prior).
My Mémé became my person, my home, and my biggest supporter in this life after I lost my mom. She was the most incredible Mémé (grandma and great grandma) that anyone could have. We miss her every day but carry her love and laughter with us in our hearts.
